What do you think I should do at this point in time? I need to make money, but, I only have a GED, and the job outlook here is pretty bleak. Im considering going back to college to finish my degree, and possibly work through the workstudy program. What do you guys think? Should I keep looking for full time work, or should I concentrate on my degree first?

If possible I'd suggest combining the two...work part time and work at your degree. Although witht the market the way it is, you might be further ahead to hold on to whatever job you have with both hands and work as much as you can. Jobs are getting harder and harder to come by and while school is a good thing, it doesn't pay the rent while your learning. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

It's difficult for me to say but I would highly suggest you go to college and get your degree. Is there any way you can work full time and go to school at night? I know lots of people who did this and it worked well. One of our daughter's worked full time during the day, went to school at night and finished her master's degree within 3 years. My theory is this: nobody can ever have too much education. Whatever you decide to, I wish you the very best. carolbee

Furthering one's education is always a benefit when getting a job. But perhaps you could find a happy medium. Some jobs will pay for part of one's schooling, after that employee has worked at the company so long. And I'm not talking about jobs where you have to already have a lot of education. Maybe you could look into that.

If you don't have a college education, then I think it would be best if you can go back to school. Its so hard to find a good job without a degree these days.

Well, I would like to go back to school and finish my degree. I am not a graduate yet and I am trying to get a degree with me ASAP. I think by July 09, I will finish my degree and then will look for a better job than the one I am looking for.!

I don't know what you have a degree in but if you get it and it's in demand then you can go in to business for yourself, working for someone else is not worth it after you spend years in school and all of that money. The best investment you can make is the investment in yourself.
