My candles are always ready. I have them all over the house and light them when there's a blackout. I do use a flashlight also.

Very true, my friend. We never know what those kids can cause with candles. What I usually do in a black out is bring all the candles onto the coffee table in the living room. Then I take one if I need to go to the bathroom or something. Of course, my kids are 16 and 20.

Hello hopejordan,
Oh, I hate blackout and it is lucky that it seldom happens here! I keep a torch light at home but whenever it happens, I can't find the torch light or maybe the batteries are weak. I have candles at home too but if it is blackout, I only use it for a while and then blow it off before I go to sleep. I feel it is quite dangerous to sleep and have candles lit on.
