Hello vanities,
I am like you - not and adventurous type or a risk taker. I am afraid of something that I don't know how it would end. Sometimes, I am afraid of trying but always try to brave myself to keep on trying and find the end result. But, thing as adventurous as this, I don' t think I can do it.

I am not at all adventurous, and I dislike surprises. I am not sure how they all started but I have many phobias, more than just fear, these 'fears' are totally irrational. Some just make me very uncomfortable but I can deal with, like elevators. Other fears keep me from enjoying things others do enjoy. I know what situations are beyond my ability to cope with, and I do not try to force myself. I know there is profesional help for people, but I just can't afford it. I do okay, I enjoy my life. I will sit back and let all the risk takers get their thrills, and I will applaud you as you do it.

..I am an adventurous and risk taker at the same time.. But I need to be careful.. In taking risks, I need to prepare myself for unforeseen circumstances that may come.. However, its worth it because being a risk taker teaches me to be courageous to face whatever problem that will come into my life.. Every experience I had by taking risks are credited as lessons for me so that I will not repeat the same mistakes in the future.. I had been in a cave.. Of course tour guides are needed if we want some explanations and listen to histories about the place we are visiting..

Hi vanities! I like to think that I am a bit adventurous!
But, I don't think that I would go into a cave without someone
who knew the cave going first! I'm adventurous but not crazy!
There are certain things that I would do and there are certain
things that I wouldn't do! I like to take risks to an extent,
but not when it comes to something that might really be
harmful!

I guess I was relatively a adventurous and risk taker. I would accept very challenging assignments, and I like to travel to places with tough conditions, as I was confident of my qualification and capabilities.
But in recent years, I have changed a lot, since my physical status failed me, eg. memory poor, eyesight bad, reflection slow, I become very careful in selecting the places to travel, and am reluctant to take up such part time job as well teaching or translation.
To my understanding, any seemingly adventurous person must be backed by advantegeous he is sure of himself. When the advantages fade, he should not be that risky, otherwise, not likely to ride over the uncertainties.

I love taking risks, I find it exciting. I always try to test my limits and the bigger the risk, the more I find it has helped me through life. Sometimes taking a risk will work out sometimes not.
But I do think that if you never take a risk in life, you are not really living.
Everyone has fears, for me I dont like heights or flying, but I still get on that plane or try climbing that mountain. I think its the adrenaline rush that I get a buzz off.
