I'd say both the wrong kid and the "sibling" need a good butt warming for not speaking up sooner. It's unbelievable that the school just let the kid go without checking things better. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

Well it says they didn't "say anything and acted like they knew each other" so that sounds like it was more of "hey, we're getting out of school today". Luckily it was a caseworker and not a sicko that picked them up. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

makes you wonder what those kids were thinking.. if they were too scared to speak or thinking "hey im getting out of school and going somewhere!"

I guess if that were my child, I would be worried sick as well. Goodness! They do not have any photo identification to ensure that the right child is picked up so that such mistakes will not happen? Well, at least this case was straightened out. I am sure the school will do something about letting this incident repeat itself.

if this has happened to me, i would be thinking that my child was kind of kidnapped. anyway, the school authorities must have learned their lesson from this. i just hope that this will never happen again. n o one can blame the worker as he/she did his/her part in full by inquiring as to the proper identity of the child to be brought home. yes, it is true that the parents of the missing child was in agony while the child was still away. i can just imagine the anxiety, anger and agony all mixed feelings why the child was mistakenly taken somewhere else.

i cant believe how many times the dcs worker was reassured that it was the right kid.. i wonder why she didnt ask the girl?!?! i guess maybe she would think she was lying or something.. makes you wonder if she had a gut feeling compared at how many times she had asked

Must have been freaky all the way around.....and what a red face the DCS worker had when they discovered the error! Amazing isn't it the things that can go wrong and others back it up!
