I am very worried about my back. I have problems with my cervical and lumbar areas. I am know experiencing numbness in hands and feet. What are the chances of my back issues getting worse? Have you ever had back problems with numbness in hands and feet? Did you ever have back surgery? I am just very worried about how bad can these problems end up getting.

many times backs get worse, you need to find out exactly what is wrong, that means the doctor, make sure you see one that knows about backs. Once you know what is wrong i would go on the internet and see what people are doing about it. My daughter had a ruptured disk and was to have surgery on it but lost her insurance so treated it with special exercises, now two years later when she injured another disk there was no sign of the previous injury. Backs are funny things but they need to be taken care of.

My daughter had two steroid treatments and her pain was much less next week she is having some kind of new treatment. I have to learn more about this, I have to drive her in because they are putting her under to do the procedure. she is in her late 40s and does heavy work with animals. Delivers babies and helps shear Llamas. Ranch work is a lot of lifting and that is what is causing her back problems plus she's about 100 lbs over weight.

I have many disc problems in my back as well as degenerative disc disease. I did have a MRI so I know its a bad problem. But how bad can it end up getting if I dont have surgery? They wanted to try giving me steroid injections into my back but I chickened out and never had it done.

well as they say the backbone of any thing is really the backbone and for the body it is all the more important since it supports the entire body!! and dear the numbness could be because of some other factors like diabetes as well. the surgery can bring relief but not for sure!! it needs good care!! all the very best for your speedy recovery!!

The numbness is most likely caused from my back issues. I have been keeping an eye on my sugars because I am pre-diabetic. But my back issues are so much worse.
