as everyone that knows me knows i am crazy about my 4 year old grandson. he was visiting me the other night. he's just a little bit afraid to go in the rooms that don't have a light on. he always wants me to go w/him to the bathroom & of course i do. so i tell him bobo has to go to the bathroom. he said to poop or pee.i told him which i had to do thinking i hope he doesn't want to go w/me. he looked at me & said ,leave the door open. how many of us would have ask are parents such a question. lol

I would never ask my parent such a question. Nor do I disturb them in the bathroom. How ever my mother would tell my siblings and I that when we were little like your grandson. That she never had any peace in the bathroom. She had to start locking the door. I suppose she did with so many of us. But i really don't remember.

Lol sweet child I can see why he is your life Antique. Most children are usually afraid of the dark and so they always want us to follow them everywhere.I think he is so afraid of the dark that her rather risk your bodily function rather than be alone and I know too that he enjoys time with you.I am not sure I would ask my parents to leave the door open when they were boooing ...heck no ..I would rather risk teh dark lol.Good discussion

I have a 4 yr. old grandson that I am crazy about too. Lots of time he will follow me to the bathroom, I can be descreet. At times when I need more privacy, I tell him I have to do girl stuff, he understands and stays out. The little ones are so precious.

I certainly wouldn't have asked my parents but I would have asked my granny (nana). I could ask her anything and she would answer all my questions too.
I think a granny is something special to any grandchild. I certainly had a beautiful relationship and have lovely memories of her.

My son (2 1/2)just figured out how to open up the door to our bathroom. Our apartment has doors that don't lock, so now I don't ever get a free moment to go potty by myself. I always have an audience.

Ha!ha!ha! That sounds familiar! My grandkids behave the same way! They also are afraid to go to dark places. They do ask the very same question! Ha!ha!ha! Kids almost always have the same thinking! But they always amuse and make me laugh no matter how ridiculous are their demands sometimes. I simply love them! They are not always children. Sooner or later they will grow and will no longer be as cute as they used to be so we might as well enjoy them while they are at their cute stage.
