A few weeks ago I had ordered 3 DVDS and a set of Pots and Pans. Well the pots and pans and 2 DVDs arrived in a week and a halfs time. I wrote to buy.com asking about the last DVD's shipment. I was informed it had been shipped on Janurary 22nd. Well after a lot of complaining back and forth via emails suddenly the DVD came two days after I wrote asking for a full refund of all items including Postage and handling. Now why did I get it then and not with the other items is beyond me. Ever have a problem with a partial shipment of items bought with your paypal money? Ever deal with buy.com at all buying items? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Hi GRANDPA BOB, I have never bought anything from e-bay and I don't think I will as I have been hearing so many stories about people getting rubbish from it. Tamara

I did have a problem like that with something I bought from Ebay. The seller did apologize and gave me a little gift for my wait and the problem it caused me. I don't buy much online anymore. Mainly because I don't have the funds.

EBay I can see as a lot of it is from private owners etc. I shop ever so often online. My wife won't though. She still doesn't trust the internet at all actually. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Hmmmmm, very interesting in deed. Makes you wonder don't it if it was ever shipped in the first place. Sounds to me like they sent it after you told them to give you the refund. So far I haven't had much problems with getting sent to me. I did order a game for my grandson for his xbox 360 for Christmas and had it sent to his house and it didn't make it. According to tracking it was stuck in Ft.Worth. When enough time went by I contacted wal mart and they refunded my account. Towards the end of January it finally arrived at their house so I called wal mart again and rebought it rather than them sending it back.

As I explained in response number one, buy.com ordered one DVD from an outside source. But I dealt with them, not this other company. So why should I deal with them and not the original company. All told after that statement it came 2 days later. HAHAHAHA! Go figure huh.

Hi Grandpa Bob! Glad to know that at long last you got all your ordered items. I haven't bought anything yet at buy.com. My husband and I usually look for items that we like and we ask a friend of ours in the States to bid or buy for us, then we transfer our money to her through paypal. She will be the one who will shipped it to us. I haven't encountered any problem yet and hopefully I won't. Take care and have a great day! lovelots..faith

Now I know that buy.com is a buying site. Meaning they buy products then sell them. But seems they need to stock up on more popular things like the Dark Knight DVD. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I have not bought anything from that company but I have found that when you get tough and demand your money back, someone actually goes and looks for your shipment! Before that they're usually just hoping it'll show up at your house. Glad you got everything alright!

Seems that way in this case. They must have had it in stock at the time they got my last email. But the original was supposedly shipped the 22nd of January. Maybe it never was and all. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I wonder why they didn't ship all 3 dvd's together, were they coming from the same place? I hate when that happens, your expecting something and it never comes, so you give up on it and ask to be refunded then a few days later here it is..lol. I've never had any problems using my paypal money, usually the only place I buy from using my paypal money is ebay, I've never bought anything from buy.com. I also buy alot from amazon, but they don't use paypal.

It seems that buy.com is a buyer. They buy from other places then sell online. That was the problem evidently with the one DVD. They were out of stock so ordered it to be drop shipped from another source. Oh well, I finally got it though. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

i'm so sorry to hear about your bad online shopping experience grandpa... that's why i never like to shop online... i prefer to go to the shop where i can look, touch and feel the goods and then cash and carry them home if i like it... i don't want to spend my money on something that i haven't see and i am afraid of getting cheated as well... take care and have a nice day...

It's only happened to me when a part of my order is sold out and I have to wait for new stock, but I have ordered things by mail order which have come separate. I remember I ordered four wall plaques for a friend's Christmas gift. They were the four seasons, and three of them arrived a few days later. The last one, however, came two weeks after those three which was a tad annoying, but it was still in time for Christmas. Brightest Blessings.

I occasionally order from LTD.com and I sent an order out in Octorber and some of it still hasn't shown up...I have emailed them etc and it's like they don't even bother to email back! I wanted it credited to my account as the item was supposed to be a Christmas gift....well two months later....no slippers yet! And no refund either!

Hi Grandpa Bob! Be prepared for responses all over the board because I started a discussion a while back on a company that took so long to get their product out to my mom and some agreed that it was too long and others didn't agree. So expect anything!! YIKES!! lol

I have never had a problem getting things that I have ordered off the internet using my PayPal money or a debit card. I once got a partial shipment from some catalog I had ordered through. They said they were out of stock on something and I would get the other item as soon as it came in. That was 5 years ago. I never got it. I have only ever used buy.com once and that was to order a book. It came right away and I had no problems with them.

used to go to buy.com in the past but it became a real hassle cause we had a pobox and they wouldnt ship to po boxes so it was a hassle with the post office just to get anything form them i have sold alot online so i have had to deal whip shipping items alot i never like it when they give you such a broad estimate like 4 to 14 days they probably shipped it by the slowest or cheapest method possible so that could have been part of the problem but personally have never had a problem using paypal account to pay for anything but at least you finally got your items

It probably didn't have anything to do with Paypal at all. Sometimes stores partial ship when they don't have an item available. I used to work in a retail corporate office and sometimes back ordered items would take months to get shipped to the customer because of availability issues. Sometimes the items never came in and there was a mass call that the call center reps would have to make to customer to find out if they wanted something else or if they wanted to simply cancel because our store would eventually dump the vendor because of poor service. If you called and cancelled the item before it was shipped and you were told that it hadn't shipped, you should not be charged for that. It is the store's responsibility to get it back from you. This means that they would have to pay for shipping etc. In the US you aren't responsible to pay for it at all actually, although keeping it would probably reflect poorly on you and cause prices to rise because the store had to take a loss. I worked in accounting, can you tell? :-) In any case, you should have been contacted by a customer service rep letting you know of the backordered item and how long the estimated date of delivery would be. That is the very minimum they should do.

Good mornin', Grandpa Bob. I've never bought anything from buy.com. The only problem I've ever had with buying online was last year when I bought something for the pool on ebay and the guy took forever to ship it. I needed it to close my pool for the winter and ended up having to hold off for a month till it finally arrived. I was about ready to email the guy back and say forget it and give me my money back when the ups guy showed up with it. They want their money right away but seem in no hurry to ship what was bought.

I have had the wrong item show up. But it was handled in a timely manner. Guess I was lucky. As yet I haven't really had any problems, knock wood. Never used buy.com
