12 shootings in 16 days!

Authorities are saying that Vancouver, BC, Canada is now the most violent city in Canada after 12 gang related shootings in 16 days. It is unbelievable what is going on there. There have been drive by shootings and 2 days ago a woman was shot to death in her car while her 4 year old son was sitting in the back seat. The mayor of Vancouver says he needs to hire another 500 police officers to get a handle on the situation. Meanwhile, our premier, Gordon Campbell gave himself a nice fat raise and cut back on essential services.

That's really terrible! I can't believe that so many shootings occurred in Vancouver in so little time. Being Canadian myself, I can't believe some of the things that are going on. My heart really does go out to the family and friends of the victims. Having experienced a school shooting, I can relate to these individuals.
