What would you do?

We were given some articles recently. There was some clothing and body products and some computer stuff. One thing was a 8gb memory stick. My daughter was going to use it for a project at school but we opened it to find hundreds of photos listed as going back years. Looking at a few pictures I thought I knew who it belonged to. Someone said we should keep it and use it but my daughter thought I should try and find the owner. What would you do?

If you know who it belongs to I would return it. Those pictures could have been lost for years and there may be no replacing them. Wouldn't you want someone to do that for you?

They were very thankful to have the pictures return! I just gave the card back and we feel good that we did the right thing.

One nice thing to do would be to call the people and ask if they would like the photos...or you could burn them to CD and then drop it off or mail it to them...even email them (but if there is aLot, that would take tooo long). If the people want the photos, let the upload from "your" stick, or just trade them for a blank stick. If I had many photos on a stick, I would gladly trade to have them back! Why were you given articles? How did it come about? What would you do if you found a hundred dollar bill in the pock of one of the articles of clothing...just wondering! =)

They were "handed down" to my daughter. I didn't pay anything for them. Jeepers if I found $100 that would be a real tough choice I and glad I don't have to make. LOL I think I should try and find the owner and see what they want to do thanks!

What a strange dilemma. If possible, I would remove all the photos from the memory stick and burn them to a CD. This way, you can delete the photos off the memory stick and your daughter can use it any way she needs, and you still have all the photos and can give the CD back to whom you think they belong to. Just a thought.
