Recently I have had discussions about the woman with 14 children. And based on the responses I got.I have found that there should be the laws.If these things pertain to her then they should pertain to everyone.
When a woman has a baby or babies before she can take him/her/them home she must do the following:
1)Proove that she is not be getting any kind of welfare, assistance from any family members, friends, church or any other organization or individual.
2) She must sign an avidavit that she will never write a book, get movie rights or any other way to earn any money or other item to make life easier.
3) she must sign an avidavit that she will apply for the day after she leaves the hospital she will apply for jobs till she gets one and cannot take time off to visit her baby/babies at the hospital if she/he/they are still there.
4) She must proove that her home is large enough for only 2 people per room with only full pieces of furniture in it (ie: matress only for a bed) and nothing should be out of place.
5) Must proove that the home is completly paid for or that her job pays enough to pay the mortgage, all utilities, food and be getting medical insurance thru her job.
6) Before she leaves the hospital she is to show that she has no more children then the hospital staff person releasing her can handle her or him self.(ie 4,5,whatever)
By the time she is 6 months pregnant she must proove that she has someone other then a relative (ie: mother) to care for the kids that she has at home while she is in the hospital. And if any person says that she is weird and mentally unstable in their opinion then she must out the baby/babies up for adoption.
What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

I disagree with you. What if she cant proove to have any one of these should she live the kids in the hospital. I dont know a single mother out there that did it all on her own without any help from outside. When you say "assistance from any family members" that comes as no help at all to me. If I want to write a book about my experience why should I be stoped its my baby and its none of anyones buisness but mine. So now women should go back to work as soon as the baby is out are you joking I plan to stay with my baby (due in 8 weeks) as much as I can and no one should force me to go back to work it is my decision. My mother slept on a bed with 5 other kids for years and there is nothing wrong with any of them they had love and happy home the rooms and beds did not stop that. Well if I waited for my house to be fully paid I would have been 55 years old before I had this baby. So I see that finacial situation is been put before love and care. I dont care if a lady has 30 kids as long as they are provided for and loved and cared. We would not be having this discussion if this lady had a partner (like say the lady that has 18 kids).

Yes all those kids names start with "J".Why did you say that I don't know that? I did not say that they were rich. And no one has said that Nadya's kids do not wear hand me downs. All of her kids do have the same father, but I do not understand what that has to do with it.So what if these babies were conceived a different way then a natural way. There is a lot of babies conceived that way.Why do you think they have sperm banks? I do not understand what you are saying, just because of the way they were conceived that means they will be killed or abused? That sure does sound like what your saying.

WHAT you dont know about the one that just had her 18th child they all have names starting with the same letter. But that was yesterdays news. And yes they wear hand me down and are not rich but they all have the same parents that live together and were concived naturaly so there is no conraversy in that. And honestly if people really mind what this mother did (the one with the 14 kids) they need to get a life. Its scary how many parents abuse and kill their kids. How many dont care for their kids and dont provide in any shape and form. At least these kids are wanted and loved. And booohooo she is geting money from government so do lots of other people. And for those that think they are paying for it guess where the money for Iraq and all that comes from.

I disagree with that... for any mother... However for people seeking expensive fertility treatment. They should at least be able to prove all that before qualifying for treatment if you ask me.....
As far as taking her children away putting them into foster homes or up for adoption. That to me is LAST resort...
I was adopted I grew up in a foster home. If a mother needs help I believe there should be some kind of thing kind of like supernanny where they come to their house and help them, if she is not abusing or neglecting the children, but has to have help to get a job etc.. Then do it other ways do not split a family up into adoption or foster homes for stupid reasons...
However there needs to be something to prevent a person from having more children than they can handle within a giving time...
Luckily for her the public will help her on and off....
But truth is even in small families things happen.
Not everyone always intends or plans on pregnancy either...
Basically what you are saying is to pass a law to prevent people in poverty from the right to raise their own children, and I disagree with that....
But I do feel a law should be passed to prevent people from getting fertility implants, and they should have to go through the same training as foster parent does to do so.... IF they are planning on having more than two from a treatment like the octomom....
But on the other hand. I would not want goverment meddling in my family affairs and descisions... But I would want them to check in at times to make sure I am properly raising, and treating my children well.

I was just going on what was based on the replies to my previous discussions.I agree that those laws are redicolous, but like I said they were based on the replies.
Oh,yeah did you or anyone else pay for her fertility treatment? It doesn't matter anymore those kids are here.

That's right not everyone plans a big family and that there are problems in small families. She had 6 and was told that if she did not have these other eggs implanted now that they would have to be destroyed.Plus she was told from those eggs only 1,maybe 2 would fertilize.During her pregnancy the saw 7.At the birth they saw the 8th.Now,if she had destroyed those eggs or had a partial abortion there would be more people having fits.
And ok,the government is stepping up to the plate. Its the media and the public that are complaining and condemning her.

It seems like a good idea but in reality it is not a good solution. I personally think people should only have one children but I do believe everyone has the right to have as many children as they want. They can either take care of them, someone else take care of them, or no one takes care of them. Those are the options. If she has 14 children then she will have to take care of them or give them up for adoption. There should be no penalty for having a bunch of children well at least not in the U.S.
