Ok so I am sitting here just thinking about how fast the months go by! There is of course still time but love to get a little head start. I am curious do you celebrate Easter and what do you like to do for the kids? Thanks for your responses Stacy

Well when my children where small I would like to take them to the local Easter egg hunt. Do you have one in your area. If not you could make one yourself in your own backyard and invite all the kids in your neighborhood.

Easter is always head at our house. My children get up to find the house is full of things the easter bunny left them, ( I make a egg trail from my son's room to all over the house so he can find his easter basket, this year there will be two trails one for him, and another for my 18 month old daugher)and then it's get them ready for chruch so they can go with Nana and Papa, as me and my husband cook dinner for everyone that will be attending after church. While I am cooking my husband it outside setting up all the things that will be needed for all the games we will be playing. We have easter egg hunts, egg toss, egg and spoon game. We always have a good turn out, with 20 to 25 people that come. I can't wait for this year.

Most of the time the church we attend only has children church that morning, so we don't attend with our kids because that takes alot of time away from cooking. We have a big meal. Ham, mashed potatoes, baked mac and cheese, corn, sweet potatoes, noodles, rolls, alone with alot of finger food for before dinner... Meatballs, little smokies, veggies trays, nuts, chips, dips, and so on. We have a big easter cake, I make a willy worm, because it's fun for the kids.

When my sister and I were kids, all we really did was have baskets of candy, and that was good enough for us. One year, I decided to have some fun, and opened a few big bags of M&M's, scattering them around my mother's room for her to find when she woke up the next morning. It was pretty funny watching her find them all.

When my nieces and nephews were little I would do egg hunts(with the plastic eggs) in the house. They loved it. To make it fair between the older kids and younger, they would get their own colors to look for. That way they would each have a certain number of eggs to look for and find. I would put candy, or change, or stickers...little stuff, in the eggs. But, it was the hunt they enjoyed the most, so much so, that after they emptied the eggs, they had me hide them over again just so they could do another hunt.

Easter egg hunt seems to be the most general activity for children in this festival, i got Easter egg in this day sometimes when i was young, and sometime my parents would took me the nearest church if they are have some spare time this day, i can clearly remember these things and feel warm when i remind these moment although i have my own activities as i grow up.
