i have dentures, if only i can afford dental implant i would rather have that. my dentures are perfectly made but still people knows the difference of real teeth than dentures. and sometimes there are words that are difficult to say because the dentures are getting on the way of the tongue. since you are asking i would rather suggest for you to have inplants if you can afford.

if you are not comfortable with removable dentures then you could try implants. but implants are way too expensive compared to dentures. with implants, you have to undergo a surgery wherein a post is inserted to the bones underneath your gum. that posts will serve as the dowel for the replacement of the missing tooth. it will take time to heal but after the whole process, it will all be worth it. but you also said that your teeth look awful, so i gather, your teeth are still in your mouth, i suggest you consider veneers. these are thin layers of plastic attached to the facial side of your teeth. for more information on veneers, visit this site http://www.dentisty.com/articles//All_About_Dental_Veneers.aspx or visit your dentist. i hope this helped. good luck!
