Frogfish

Did you ever hear of frogfish? Well, there are such things, and a new species has been discovered in the shallow waters off Ambon island in eastern Indonesia. It has been aptly named "psychedelica" -- it's a weird looking creature indeed.

Thanks for another look at frogfish. Yours is of a different species than mine, but they're both pretty funky looking.

That is a beautiful creature. I love those eyes and the tiger markings. I would love to go diving and see one in real life. Unfortunately Indonesia isn't on my short list of places to visit. I'm a bit afraid to go there. I want to go to Greece next, then India. So much of the world left to see.

Yes, this is a new species of frogfish. See Raydene's comment below for a look at another species of frogfish.
