I found this site about a place in NYC Where you can walk into a craft class without enrolling..all materials are there What a great way to send an evening instead of a club xoxoxoxoxoxo http://www.etsy.com/storque/events/

Afghan that I made for my son and daughter in law, - Afghan that I made for my son and daughter in law, its a wedding present....
That does sound nice. I like to do some crafts, I crochet. Recently I finished an afghan that I made my son and daughter in law for a wedding present. Here is a picture of it, it turned out real nice. My church has a craft class 2 times a month. Once a year they have a craft show, I helped my mom out she was in it. Maybe next year I might share the table with her.

Thanks so much, the pattern is called Navajo, its an Indian print, I am of Native American descent. I am going to make my best friend one just like it, except instead of the turqouise color I will use a burgandy. I have also made them one solid color using that pattern.

Wow... that sounds terrific. We do have certain places here you can walk in and try your hand at crafts. There is one in the village, behind the garage, where you can just walk in and do some pottery making, glazing and painting. I've never been but I just might take a hike round there one of these days. Brightest Blessings, my friend.

That sounds like such a great idea! It would be great to have one of those. I can't commit to a full time course, but it would be great to have somewere I could go when I was free.

It sounds like excellent marketing to me. Gets people in the store, puts them in a great mood..... it brilliant. Sounds fun too. I would drop in now and then to take advantage of it, for sure.

Every city should have something like that in their community centre. It sounds like a really good idea. Some might worry about people not showing up, but I'm sure with enough publicity and encouragement, it would catch on in no time. Thanks for letting us know that ideas like this do exist.

That sounds like it would be fun. It would definitely be different from the clubs. While you are crafting, you can be socializing with others. It would be relaxing and right now, I think our whole country needs to find ways to relax and talk. It would help to be able to sort things out before tackling the every day chores and tasks.

Interesting concept. They also have an online version, but not sure how that would work (have to be "logged in" to get to that part of the site and I'm not a member). Maybe you could start one in your community, if you really wish you had one.

Hi raydene! Oh that is brilliant! I wish we have also one like that here in our local area. It is really hard and quite impossible to find a free class here in my area. I guess, if we will have one like that here I will always be spending most of my free time there. That is such a brilliant idea they just did over there. Take care and have a great day! lovelots..faith
