Now I live in New York in their best grape growing area, we have Welch's factory, then there are all the winery businesses. My husband's cousins actually have their own winery they started just like two years ago. The grapes grow very well here, it supports many jobs but what on earth are they studying the grapes for? I don't get it at all. It's not like something bad is happening to the grapes we can't understand. It's not like we are having trouble growing them, they are everywhere. So what is the $2,200,000 for?
Do you know some off the wall crazy thing in that new bill coming out that is for your state that you can tell me about? Tell me please if you have any inside information that one of these crazy money wasting earmarks actually make sense... maybe there is something the rest of us don't know that possesses a real threat. Maybe foot odor is causing fatalities in your area, I don't know about. So please if you can defend any of it please tell us all.

If you read what I wrote you would see that I know there isn't anything they are doing with this research. It's something they got earmarks for before and there is no problem growing grapes. You wouldn't believe how many grapes they get out here. Just about every member of my family has had at least a part time job of tieing the vines or picking grapes or transporting them or in the juice factories. $2.2 million dollars is a lot of money to fix a problem that doesn't exist. All the people who own grape vineyards around here are doing pretty well financially. They don't need help from the government to do their own research if they really thing there is a need to do it. Even if there was some small advantage to doing this this is not the time to do it. It's not going to produce a bunch of jobs or anything.

If that is the case then maybe you should have it investigated and demand a report of how the fund was used. Since you are concerned citizen you have the right to demand for it. Well if the studies were happening in the backgrounds then it may be worthy knowing what is happening. I think studies how on this thing should be done even there is no problem with the production to improve the produce and eventually create a much more quality grapes.

See this is exactly the kind of thing that people just don't hear about. I have no problems with useful spending but this kind of junk is ridiculous. Two million bucks to study grape genetics, what the ????????????? I don't even know what to say or where to begin with this stuff. If Americans keep electing these politicians in congress that do this stuff them shame on them.
