How much do you really know about Embryonic Stem Cell reaseach?

I never actually knew about it untill today, This is my second post on cloning but when I posted the other one I relized i got somewere but not were i wanted to get. I said "What are your views on human cloning" I did not say embryonic stem cell research.. Right now many Scientists are studying this Embryonic Stem cell research thinking that if they can find the way,by doing this every human will have a biological repair kit basically.. But to do this, they have to take stem cells from people/children and nake embryo's out of them and let them grow till fetus stage then kill them.. then use them for us in curing diseases and what not... My question here is, If you had a disease currable only through this practice,would you take it or leave it??.... I myself would leave it in a heartbeat.without any thought. I would rather go through life on medications all my life and know sometime im ganna die from it rathern then have a baby grown and killed just to cure my disease...
