HSBC out of England is the latest in a long line of banks that are in trouble financially. To attempt to keep the company afloat, HSBC has eliminated over 6,000 jobs in the US. The company will reduce it's lending practices also. As more people loose their jobs, less banking institutions are lending money. So, when you don't have income coming in from employment, and you can't borrow money, what's a person to do?
