I have chickens for pets and there is an adorable rooster who is so sweet and gentle all day and I love him, except for the time almost pre-dawn when he starts crowing so loudly. I myself didnt like it and now I have a little baby who sometimes wakes up at the noise and I wish there were a way I could make it stop. Advice anyone? Please dont tell me to give him up, I wont do that!!

I am so sorry that you can't have your good sleep and have to be awaken in the dawn because of the rooster. I won't tell you to give it up because my father has a rooster too and it is really bothering me as well, but you can use my trick. You can't make them stop from crowning but you can stop hearing them. Earplug, and the soundproof room that's the easiest way out. If you don't want to do this, you can do a little experiment with your rooster. It is said that rooster react to the light, so when there's light it would wake up and started to crown. You can put it in the dark place so it would think that it is still night and it wouldn't crown. Good luck...
