What do you do to keep youself physically fit?

I go for a half an hour walking in the evening or morning.If the climate is not good,I do the same in my treadmill.I spent some time in gardening.These activities keep me physically and mentally fit.
I preferred walking to other forms of exercise because it is very easy and safe.No special skills or equipments needed.
Are you doing any physical activities to keep yourself fit.What you do?Please share your fitness secret here.

YES muru1950, previously before encountering my heart attack I think am the laziest person to do physical exercise. But, on performing my Chelation and EECP therapy it is part of the program that I have to follow, which it is called as "Walking Medicine". The first 10 minutes with warm up walk, another 20 minutes fast walk and the remaining 10 minutes for slow walk. What I can say is, now, I have to.

i can't do too much exercising wish i could. like to walk but can't do a whole lot of that either. have too many things wrong.am glad i am good as i am just pretty limited.

HiANTIQUELADY,
You don't have do half an walking continuously.
You can do in slabs also.
Moreover even if you walk around in your home or in your antique shop,that is also a exercise only.
Gardening,cycling,climbing stairs,doing anything other than sitting in a place is exercise only.
So be active that is more than enough to keep you fit.

To keep myself physically fit I walk an hour in the morning.I don't eat much.I eat more vegetables than fish or meat.I regularly eat some fruits.All these keep me fit.

Hi muru, I have no secrets at all. I walk around the property where I work twice a day and walk in town but that is it. After working full time and then going to a part time job I am exhausted when I reach home in the evenings. After I put my grnadtwins to bed I then collapse on my bed and maybe watch television for an hour or mediate until I fall asleep. I know that I need to do more but when ? Blessings

Hello,Muru! With a view to keep yourself physically fit food is as important as physical activities.The first thing in the morning that we should do is to take a glass of lukewarm water with some lime juice as this detoxifies the system.Taking a walk in the morning and evening for thirty minutes energises the body.Drink green tea or herbal tea instead of tea or coffee.Eat always fiber-rich foods like sprouts,salad and plenty of vegetables and fruits.Eat whole wheat breads.Keep your dinner light and include vegetables soup.Fasting one day in a week will be of much advantage.So fast once a week,consuming only fresh fruits.These are some tips for you to stay fit in life as I have been greatly benefited following these tips.Now I am seventy and perfectly alright.thanx.

As my screen name implies, I run. I think anything you do is good, but running burns more calories faster and really gets your heart going.

I am not doing anything right now just plain lazy is the only excuse. I like walking, but I have to wait for the weather to get right for this. Just last week we had tornadoes one day and the next day or two we had a snow storm I had no excuse for today the temperature was great for walking. I also have some exercise tapes that I could use. I would like a treadmill I just can't afford it.

I take the stairs whenever possible, at work especially (I'm on the 4th floor) and I try to small exercises even when I'm just sitting, whether it be making myself sit up straight to work my abs and back, or playing with a stress ball, or stretching. At home, I use TurboJam workouts, and belong to a gym where I use cardio equipment for a more full workout. I like to switch it up!

u r absolutely Right.
Doing Yoga/Meditation also will keep Ur mind heath fit.
U may consider it adding alongwith Ur physiacl activities*eg-brisk walking,swimming,gardening,treadmill etc).
