How does MyLot decide what is quality content?

I never post junk here, and always try and make my comments count. Yet all I seem to ever get is a penny a post. I use good SPAG but no one ever rates my replies, and I don't reckon I'd be any worse off posting banality that no one can decipher! I'm beginning to wonder if it's worth all the effort! I'm wearing my fingers to the bone, just typing this.
So - what DOES a 'quality post' earn, under their rules? Has anyone worked out the minimum yet? I reckon it must be around a tenth of a cent. I don't think it's about post quality at all - it's just about getting huge numbers of referrals, but I don't have time to do that!

I always wondered this as well. Who judges the quality of our content? If it is the Mylot community thats fine, but since there is no requirement to rate a discussion I'm guessing many don't always do this which is not fair. So how does MyLot know I am typing quality as opposed to lines of jibber jabber? I have no idea...
Also the other day I did not login and therefore made no posts. I did have a discussion that I started around 11pm the day before that got 30 responses on that day...but I did not earn a single cent. So what gives? I guess you have to post to earn.

I am fairly sure you have to add content to get paid, other than earnings from referrals of course if you are lucky enough to get active referrals, and that content has to be substantial.

@ angela_allen.
Try going back to that discussion with 30 responses and commenting on them all and then go look at your earnings - you might be pleasantly surprised

Here you will see (even 'feel') the difference. People do care and you'll make friends if you are prepared to be yourself.

As long as you're having fun jazz things will soon start making sense. You'll be making friends and that's half way there

Thamks Lore - you're right. Also, I think you have to build up friendships in the interest sections that are most relevant - and that is easier said than done! At present, I'm just concentrating on the top rated discussions. I'm sure I can find something worthwhile to say about french fries.

I think that is Mylot's secret how they pay their members. As for me, I haven't determined how they compute it I only know that I get paid if I join in the forum and if I get lots of sharing the more I get to be paid in here. I do have a few referrals in here and most of them are inactive and I really do not earn from them. I am the only one who loves to post and share my mind in here. The payout well lets just say I got several already and I am not counting it anymore. Let's just say that I am here because they always pay when the time comes I have reach my payout.

I am new to mylot. I don't understand how to count the earning, but that's okay for me. Here is really a great place to linger, I think what makes you being a quality post depends how good your post really is, you can't make it a quality post because you think it is in high quality. If you just focus on the earnings, the posts/replies might not really come from the bottom of your heart. Maybe, others doesn't feel your sincerity, so have fun here and I think others may know how good your post is.

I look on this forum as I do all the others. It's like a conversation among friends, and I post to make a point or comment on other peoples discussions. I don't think : oo, this'll make me a buck or two (just as well really!) I agree you have to post a lot to make cash here, but I can't afford the time it takes to post 30 comments at a time! But it is addictive - yesterday I was up to a dollar, now I've got another 28c! Wow, wonder if I can get it up to 30c tonight, for just one hour's work! Don't know if that's good or bad though. Before you say I'll soon reach my $10 - I have a real job, remember, and mouths to feed. If I've got 3 hours to spend typing, I'd rather it was for Helium, AC or even DooYoo.
My problem is, I'd rather concentrate on the topics that are really relevant to me, and those tend to be human interest or deep and philosophical; hardly one line answers! Also, I like giving advice based on my own life experiences, not talk about french fries. But I guess it would look kind of boring on the home page, whereas Mackie Dees doesn't!
