Goverment is ruining our nations

Why do we continue to let the goverment keep putting us further in the whole. The president said no earmarks in the stimulate package and the goverment is going to cut pork spending - they have lied on both accounts.
When I watched the news last night I could not believe the list of things the goverment is spending billions of dollars on. Stupid things. Will Amercia ever take a stand against these things?
What ever happened to the goverment works for us - not we are controlled and scared of the goverment?

You are so right...I told my husband that just last night. I thought the President was there in office for "Us"..? Shouldn't we have a say as to where the monies are going to go? He's giving a ton of money to his favorite basketball team; give me a break..!
