Not really but it seems like it is.
I had an antivirus program installed on it, and it stopped working.
I installed another one and now it stopped working.
Today I can't download any antivirus, my computer quits on me and stops the download process.
I've had so much trouble with my computer lately it's not funny.
I'm waiting for a new computer, but until then I'm exposed and it's not a good thing.
Suddenly I'm sick of computers but I need one to work.
Mine got so slow all of a sudden, no warning, and still can't figure out why.
Argh I'm so frustrated.

Sure has been a long time, someone replied to it and brought it back.
It turns out that the ethernet card was on its' way out.
Got a laptop shortly after and I've been using it ever since.

Yep, sounds like your computer is possessed by gremlins. They live in the computer and come out to play havoc when you are sleeping. The only way to stop them is to clear the disk cache, optimize the hard drive, clear the history files and beat them into submission with a large baseball bat. You can also set mouse traps around your computer at night and see if you can capture them that way. LOL

I had a tech look at it and it's not fixable, so there's nothing I can do right now but wait for the new one to come in.
