I have to admit that I do this many times. When the deadlines creep up my neck and I have slacked off mylotting when I was supposed to be working hehe, I would have to work at home sometimes. I know it's not a healthy thing to do, but I do seem to finish work faster when at home and I work great under pressure lol. What about you? Do you bring work, home? Can you work well under pressure?

No, I don't work in an office.. but I shall still use these smileys in an attempt to impress, ahahahaha! CRAZY... Okay, I'm sorry! I can't tell you my experience since I don't work in an office, but I can tell you other peoples experiences, they always bring their work from home, the minority stays at the office and completes their work, Do you bring your work from the office to home??

Yep I do bring work home when I have little choice. I sometimes have to finish a project that has tight deadlines which need more than just the time given.

This is a funny question for me. As I am a freelance writer, my house is my office so I always bring work home because I work at home. Next semester I am hopefully getting a fellowship at a women's college where I will have an actual office to leave work in. Hopefully then, my work life and my life life will have more separation as there is none now.

I hadn't considered this situation. My question does appear funny now lol. It is a double edged sword to have work at home.

I used to bring my work home when I was a teacher becuase there are so many homework waiting for me to be correct. But now I become a student again and I have to finish my homework. There is no need for me to bring it home and just finish in in my classroom! Your topic let me recall my teaching day! How wonderful it was! Thank you so much!

hehehe.. thats what im thankful on my job. my work start and ends in the office. i dont have to think about it after i logged out. at call center industry, your work start with opening spiels and it end after you say goodbye to your cutomers. i dont have to think about it after they hung up the phones. so when i go home all i have to think is how to enjoy the rest of the day! hehehe

I usually choose to work overtime in the office even if there is no pay than to bring my work home. I don't mind staying in the office late as long as when I arrive home I can focus on spending time with my kids. But if I do have to finish some work over the weekend, I bring work home. I can work just fine with pressure, though I would rather if I don't hehehe

haha nice attitude LOL just kidding but for me and my line of work is not that hard- i finish them here (office) as much as possible coz they can't pay my extended hours of working at home hehe kidding... before logging in myLot (super specific hehe) i do my work load first to avoid cramming (well but i can do multi-tasking anyways so no problem with that hihi) if it's really needed i will bring it at home (and there are times that i do this but not that often )... i much want to rest and bond with my son my son than to locked our room and do the workload from the office ;) thanks nikky28!:) happy myLotting!;) Godabless!0=)

Well I hate to do that but sometimes its necessary as its urgent so can't help with it. I love to be free when I come home, or just want to enjoy doing things like watching tv, cooking or just chilling around.I hate it when I have some work which I need to complete at home.

i think its tiring when you do that. I think your losing " quality time" with your family, friends and even to yourself. Well, thats what my opinion regarding your situation. When you go home after office, give yourself time a break, rest and relax, and i bet you can be more productive at work the following day. Our body is not like computer and machines, we shut down computers, we turn off machines, so please lets our body stop working and rest too. this can help your work productivity too. And think of this, your company wont pay your electrical, office supplies expense you incur while working at your house. of course you will use your own computer and supplies. This will make you tired someday. I dont blame you for doing this, maybe you are just good employee, but think of yourself, is it worth it why you doing that?, Give yourself a break, office is office, home is home. Happy mylotting!

No, never and never will I do so. Home is a lovely place, the loveliness will be spoilt by all the work from office. Maybe you are always disturbed by colleagues walking around to chat with you or by phone calls or by emails in the office, that's why you seem to work slower in the office. Even when some emergency occurs in the office, I will forward the call to someone else to take care. Seldom is work so urgent that I got to rush back to office to settle.

Yes that was when i was in the academe, a Professor for College students. I will always do my work at home, as most teachers do and make lessons for tomorrow or for the whole weeks time. But when i changed my career path and went for the industry, everything changed. I am not thinking what to teach for the week even i have the guide. I don't have to go home and just continue what i am doing at work, i was like a prisoner, released from the jail cell when i shifted my career to another one. I don't have regrets though i miss School, seeing stubborn students scared at you if you fail them or not. But at least the pressure wasn't there anymore. Happy Mylotting!

i used to not bring work at home, but in my current work, with a very demanding environment, i had to bring work at home although i rarely finish or accomplish anything at home, and i am too lazy to work at home. i miss my previous work where i can leave early if the work is done at a client. i miss not taking my work at home. i miss the carefree days of working.

When I was still working as a Financial Consultant, I was handling four companies at the same time. I would normally arrive in the office around 11am, attend one meeting after another, so there really is not much time for paper works. Although most of the paper works are data and presentations for the meetings, I most of the time do it at home. I have also learned to work under pressure especially during month ends, board meeting season and stockholders meetings. These four companies are sister companies so they would normally hold all the meetings in the same day. Lunch time for me is 3pm.

Hey, Nikky.. here again lol I'm one of those who bring work at home lol... I update so many data on the weekends since I don't go out that much. I'd rather do these in a much comfortable place particularly at home haha... I can work well under pressure too but not when I'm really hungry hahaha... I need to fortify myself with food before I face lots of work lol =P
