Traffic

This morning when I started to school, it was raining just a little bit. Nothing hard or heavy, just misty rain. It seems that everyone in Central Arkansas forgot how to drive. They pulled out in front of people, rear ended others, got in the fast lane and drove fifteen miles an hour under the speed limit. By the time I got to school, I was so irritated that I couldn't see straight! My biggest irritant while driving is when someone is driving on the interstate highways, and when another car is trying to merge, they refuse to move over, even when there is no one in the other lanes. What is the driving habits of others that drive you crazy?

The merging problem is one of my husband biggest complaints. They have just started working on the interchange at I-430 and I-630 in Little Rock which will affect his drive to work and back. I know I'll be hearing about this for the next few years.

That intersection is a mess (Who puts a redlight at the end of an interstate?) to begin with and now with all the construction it's only going to get worse. I've applied for a job at Lifeway, and I'm probably going to go in behind the Westlake Center and come in through the back to avoid that intersection.

That interchange was a major mistake to start with and everyone said so, so why they built it that way is beyond me. Probably to save money, but now they are spending money to fix it and wouldn't it have been cheaper to built it right 20 or so years ago. Hope you get the Lifeway job. That would be a nice place to work I think.

I have to agree with you these are things that drive me crazy. I think another one that drives me crazy is when traffic is backed up and two or more lanes need to merge into one lane, that people aren't courteous enough to alternate letting someone over in the lane. I always try to let someone over and usually will let more than one person over if traffic is pretty backed up.

Well, I have to tell you that part of the thing that irritates me the most is when people who drive a certain section of the highway every day and they know that a lane is going to merge, but yet they will wait until the very last possible minute to try and get over, just so they can save what...10 seconds? I want to scream at them and tell them to get in line way back just like all the rest of us did. LOL
