Do you only get noticed when you don't do things you're "expected" to?

For example, when you don't get the house perfectly spotless, everyone notices and always has something to say. But when you do have the house clean you don't get praised for it. Just like if you forget to take the garbage out everyone notices it. But when you take it out no one notices because you are "expected" to do these things. Doesn't it make you feel good when someone praises you for these things? It happens too little. I was just thinking about this and wanted to share with everyone here.

It's human nature, it happens to everyone so you're not alone in that department.
