Which one is right?
The less the surface of the ground yields to the weight of a fully-loaded truck, ( ) to the truck.
A) the stress is greater B) the greater the stress
C) the greater stress is D) greater is the stress
I thougth B was right! But there is no predicate then! Thus, the right answer is C, right? It sounds a little bit weird though!
I guess if C will be (the great the stress is), it will be perfect!
Would you please do me a favor and tell me which one is right?

I would have thought B was right. C is could be right but if it were an English exa question then B is the one which makes most sense.

Thanks very much! I guess so! Well, someone told me that C was the right answer according to the book! So, there must be something wrong with the awful book! Haha, plus, the question didn't make so much sense so far as I was concerned!
Have a great day!

The question would make sense if, as someone else has mentioned, you changed the last word from 'truck' to 'road'.

B feels good, since "the more the X, the more the Y" is a pretty common way of phrasing a relationship like this. I would like to add an "is" to the end of the sentence, though in colloquial speech it is often dropped.
But' um, the response that was left first sounded reasonable as well!
Thanks for your valuable time!
