Tea has many constituents, including some minerals and vitamins. Its main perceived therapeutic benefit is its antioxidant properties, however. Many claims have been made for its benefits but, unfortunately, many of the claims are, as yet, unsubstantiated.
If you research 'tea benefits' with a search engine, you will find many sites which make such claims. Very few of them give any details of studies to back up their claims. The most informative article I found was the Wikipedia article on Green Tea: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_tea
After listing many types of green tea, the article goes on to deal with Potential effects of green tea on health. If you want to know what benefits have been claimed and which ones have not yet been proved, this section is worth reading, as is also the article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Potential_effects_of_tea_on_health
I think there is no doubt that drinking tea (especially green tea) is good for you - provided that, like everything else, it is done regularly and in moderation. Not only does it contain powerful antioxidants which are known to have a good effect on the body but the process of preparing and drinking tea can be used as a calming and reflective time of the day. That 'ceremony' may have as much benefit as the tea itself does.

Tea is 100% natural. Unlike Kool Aid which is loaded with artificial flavors and colors.
