Did you see the John Denver special on PBS? It was touching. Although I didn't agree with all of his politics, John Denver was a good man as well as a superb musician.

No, I didn't see it. I have to disagree with you on this one. I did not think he was a very good musician. He had a couple of good songs, but nothing that I would consider "Writing home" about. I am not sure what his political views even were.

Not everyone likes everyone. I'm sorry you don't care for his music because I think you are missing something, but that's the way it goes. :)

I have not seen the special on PBS, but I will keep a look out for it. I love his music. It always seemed simple but so true. My favorite was a song that had the words, "Thank God I'm A Country Boy." That may be the title too. I love to try to sing along with the song and see if I can do it without messing the words.

I think that is the title, too. I'm always humming along with his songs. I have some old LP records of his that I play now and then and they always make me a little nostalgic.
