I accidentally posted the same discussion twice.

My computer locked up at one point and I thought my discussion was lost. Apparently not so ...............I have reported this to the administration here. so ...I am requesting that you NOT respond to my posts about "tasks". This way if one of these discussion is deleted, you will not lose your responses. I apologize especially to those who have already answered either of them. I'm very sorry. Have you ever accidentally posted the same discussion twice like this?

We all make mistakes and we learn by them so they serve a purpose! Please read over on the other one - there was a misunderstanding I fear

Glad it's sorted - I don't like misunderstandings, especially like that one. All ok now!

Thank you for clarifying what you meant in that other "tasks" discussion! You were very kind!

Oops...too late. I did respond to one of them. Even though it's a duplicate, I don't think it would be deleted unless there are no responses. If one does get deleted, well, I'm not going to loose sleep over it. Especially when some of those 'tasks' put you to sleep....

It happens! I've had it happen (and seen it happen) with responses, too. If you or someone else reports it, I think MyLot will delete whichever has the fewer responses. The system is such that they can't easily 'move' a response to another discussion so it usually means a lost cent or two but in the big picture that's nothing to get too uptight about.

Well dont worry... After all we are all human and to err is human... Mistakes do happen.. Its good that you have cleared your part and made an effort to make sure that nobody wastes their effort if they reply to any of your discussion.. u get a positive rating from me for that.. Take Care.. Keep Mylotting.

I was not able yet to post discussions twice. maybe at that time you are not in a good condition in making some discussions or you forgot that you already posts discussions like this.

I wish I could say no, but that would be untrue.

It happened to me once that was when I thought when the page wasn't loading up properly at all. When I checked I saw two copies of the discussion I posted. You can send a PM to the admin and have the other one deleted if you'd like you will lose earnings though If you have responses on both discussions.

Hi ya rocket1 Why don't you start your discussion again with a different title and change the content slightly so that I can then respond to your discussion? Well not just me of course LOL . I can't say I have ever posted a discussion twice, not that I am aware of anyway and I think I would have been aware of it, wouldn't I? LOL

Yes, that happened to me once so far. I had made a quite lengthy discussion & then my phone rang & as it turned out a quite lengthy phone call. When I hit submit I was taken to the home page so I go to my profile page & the discussion wasn't there. Fortunately I had copied my discussion before doing the preview. So, I pasted & hit submit. To my horror, I suddenly had 2 of the EXACT same discussions out there & being replied to. They both received a lot of replies. If it had only been one discussion, I would have been in the Digest that day. By the time I realized what I had done enough people had replied to both that I couldn't in good conscience have one deleted. However, I did learn a valuable lesson!!! Thanks for warning us. I was wondering why you had started 2 of the same discussions & was contemplating which to respond to. Guess I'll just wait & see which one gets deleted!!!

DOnt feel bad. I see people double post by mistake all the time. I will see one of the discussions will have 5 replies. The other will have like 20. And with some computers that are slow you can accidently be prone to even post a discussion twice or a response. I haven't done it yet but i dont mylot at home. If i did it at home im pretty sure it would happen to me.

Yes I have. I went back to fix something and it went through anyway and I ended up with the same discussion with two different headers! Someone responded and I closed the discussion...I'm glad I'm not the only one!

It is so generous of you to tell everyone about your mistake, including the administrators. I do not think you need to worry. True, people would have responded to both the discussions and it will get a bit confusing. I am sure the moderators here will take care of that. I am a lazy person when it comes to starting discussions. I have never posted the same discussion twice. Once, I started a discussion which was very much similar to the one already posted by some other person. That's the closest I came!

Yes, it has happened to me before. I think it is the actual Mylot site that lags.

What I have done is post a discussion intending to include a link and then forget to include the link. Then I do end up with the same discussion two times. Oh well, we have all been there and understand. No big deal, we are human.

you are so honest, this is such a good quality to have. Thank you for letting us know and caring about out points. Not many people would do that.

rocketj1, Like you I do have a few double posts here in MyLot but unlike yours, it was all due to the lagged connections which I believe was at Mylot's end. I do not think the additional duplicates will and can be removed. Sometimes I'd just wish that the admin could let us have some free play here. But I suppose they will need to see and for us to wait if this will ever happen. Cheers.

I noticed that, I did respond to the first one..ha. Its happened to me before too, computers are so finicky, who knows what happens. I didn't accidently post a discussion twice but I did post a response twice only because I thought I lost it the first time, my computer froze up or something, so I did it again, and it was on there twice..lol.

Well,it happens to me too.More times,my connection to the server fails and when I try to reload the page,oh!the discussions are repeated.I think the administrators remove the double posting when it comes to their notice. And I hope that shall not be considered a false move on our side.Cheers!

I think I have did this once and out of those two discussions one got few responses and other got no response Then I think it is deleted and I have experienced some decline in my earnings. Actually i don't even remember that it is there or not. I will check it. Actually it is not yet deleted but twice I have faced a small decline in my earning. Hope it is not deleted at the end of the month. Bye
