I'm considering getting one of these, but would like to hear opinions on them from current holders..are there advantages or disadvantages for or against them in comparison with a switch or delta card? thanks for responses!

I did have one of those and I thought they were really good as there were many places where there were no charges to use and I didn't have to worry about an overdraft so I knew where I was with my money. x

No problems with the card so far...if it saves me a £5 surcharge on a budget flight e-ticket booking each time I use it,like it did on a recent trip to London in August, that'll be a big help! that's probably worth more to Me than the little bit of interest I'd get on (say) a regular savings account..

I'm not sure in which countries these cards are valid..I'm in the UK,In Northern Ireland, and they're available here..most banks issue either credit cards and/or debit cards..the Electron card seems to be a type of debit card,in that you can only withdraw money that's actually in your account, and for some reason budget airlines operating into and out of Ireland will accept them in payment without a surcharge, which they do with every other type of card but the Electron..I'd just like info on the benefits or not of these cards if anyone has one..

It appears to be a card linked to a basic banking account-some other cards linked to a current account will double as a cheque guarantee card if you have a checking account..this one does not. I don't think the account is interest bearing, either, but then I'm not planning on keeping enough money in it for that to be an issue! So long as I can put money in without having to go to a bank branch,I should be happy with this card as an extra!

I think the Delta card is owned by Visa, but am not sure about Switch..both are types of Debit cards.
