Resume is a very powerful tool in applying for a job. One must write a comprehensive and impressive resume in order to catch the attention of any prospective employers. A powerful resume includes the following credentials or information : scholastic or academic record, history of employment, training or seminars attended, personal information, government examinations or board examinations taken, certification and trustworthy references. When it comes to ordering these credentials, you must put first the most impressive record you had. When you had a very good academic or scholastic record , it must come first before the others. When you have a very impressive employment history, them it must come first before the other credentials. If you do not have very good scholastic record or impressive employment history, try to invest in trainings and relevant seminars to strengthem your credentials. Try to avail of some in-service training of some reputable companies even though there is no salary offered. I have a friend who at first had no impressive credentials so she found it very hard to land to a good job. She availed of the in-service training of one of the most reputable hospital on the Philippines since she is a nurse. She rendered her service there for free for a period of six months. Now she is working in one of the biggest hospitals in New Zealand. Building credentials may take time and may require investing money for furthering studies. But once you get your most coveted job, surely it worth all your efforts. It will surely bring you satisfaction. How about you how do you build up your credentials ?

I do things. It is also good to include a photo of yourself in a resume. As well you should have a mentor/teacher reference, at least 3 good work references, and two character witnesses. I do things for non-profit. And basically put all the best relevant information I can. That is how it is done. Like what you said. I also try to hand my resume to the person that needs to see it, myself.
