How many of you have the habit of selling stuff that you don't need or use anymore? I am working on a project of selling everything I don't need or use anymore because 1. could make some cash out of it and 2. I could have more space and things will be more tidy at home and 3. I think it would be more environmental friendly than throwing stuff away.
Was your selling successful? What was your experience of selling the stuff?

I give things I don't use or need away. I just filled 2 bags of clothes to donate to goodwill industries just today. Most of the clothes were never worn and I finally decided to donate them. I told my b/f if he finds anyone intrested in a 32 inch television to ask for $100 dollars, $75 at least. I also give my used towels to the animal shelter and refuse to ask for a tax credit.

I have this experience, when I was in university,I have many books which I woundn't use anymore, but I didn't want to sell them as only paper,so I set a stall, then tried to sell them, and there were many student need the books,so I think I not only earn a lot of money, but also do a good deed.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. And yes I am starting to sell things that I don't need anymore but unfortunately I am not successful yet.. I hope I do get to sell these things because I am in real need of money right now.

Well, currently I do not have the habit to sell stuff I don't need. I usually give them to others who need them. I think it costs a lot of time to sell such things. I am also afraid of wasting time to get nothing. So I would collect all the stuff regularly and give them out. Sometimes it can help when people really need them. But it also occurs that other people just sell them.
