Yes, it is true. I recently heard this phrase used. That sure has a ring to it, eh? Let's hear it again. Fatalistic Malthusian genocidal fanatics. Hmmm... who might that be? Who do you suppose they voted for in the last election? Could there really be anyone who fits this description? I say there probably are a few people with a death wish who fervantly believe human kind is doomed to over populate the earth but that mass genocide could prevent the problem. I suppose such persons could be called fatalistic Malthusian genocidal fanatics. But, personally, I don't know any and don't think there could be that many of them. How many such loonies could there be? Enough to be a problem? What do you say?

I am thinking of one person who might fit that discription. But considering the world we now live in and the loss of freedom of speech...I will remain silent.

Silence is sometimes the best course. I have an idea of who some international leaders might be that fit this description, but, they would deny it and I can't prove it, so I won't name names either.

Isn't that the new phrase we're supposed to call terrorists now? God forbid we use the "T" word....

There you go spoiling the illusion I have carefully crafted that I am smart! I had to look up "Malthusian" and I came up with "a follower of Malthus". LOL Further digging leads to an example of Malthusian thinking in practice, such as Herod of Judea. He's the guy that had all the little children in Bethlehem murdered becasue he was afraid that the newborn "King of the Jews" (that would be Jesus for anyoen who doesn't already know) would take his throne. To combine my new found knowledge with the topic of your discussion, I can think of some folks who do indeed follow Malthusian theory which can very easily lead to genocide. Some people may be able to extrapolate this line of thought and apply it to the proponents of "planned parenthood" which really isn't at all about planned parenting but about plans to do anything possible to avoid parenthood. I am not nearly as intelligent as you or many of my lovely mylot friends, but I wonder if Fatalistic Malthusian Genocidal fanatics exist in Darfur and Zimbabwe where millions have been slaughtered for reasons far beyond my understanding. I also beleive that perhaps there are some Americans who subscribe to this philosophy and that they would be your far left liberals who unfortunately are running the country right now. So, Red, how did I do? Can I go back to pretending I am smart or have I fallen prey to the old saying that it is better to stay quite and be thought a fool than to start talking and remove all doubt?

Fatalistic Malthusian Genocidal fanatics are not necessarily in charge at Darfur and Zimbabwe but I have no doubt such people made it possible behind the scenes for the leaders in Darfur and Zimbabwe to obtain power. This would be so these leaders could do the dirty work directly for the Fatalistic Malthusian Genocidal fanatics in their place. Pretty clever, eh? Help a madman or an idoit to power. It is the way do a horrible crime. Let someone else get blamed for it.

There are people that need to get inspired by something else. I did not know that genocide is so popular that it has a following. I wonder if there is a mother out there that says that this is nothing but a phase.

I'm wondering, now that you mention it, if Idi Amin's or Pol Pot's mothers just thought they were misunderstood.
