Limescale

How do you clean limescale out of a kettle? I can´t find any commercial cleaners here. Think it´s going to be a new kettle! Or can I boil something in it. The lime makes the water taste horrible.

Have you tried soaking it in white vinegar? It's worth a shot - but now that I see that this message is 6 months old, I am sure you have a new pot by now~Donna

Yeah I threw it out and got a better one lol thanks for the tips tho :o) I am sure my new pot will meet a similar end

Theres a VERY easy answer to this one. Soak the kettle for awhile in some distilled vinegar! Vinegar will dissolve the lime (and any other mineral type deposits) and will not hurt you (or your family) one bit! Vinegar can be used in many ways for cleaning. Hope this helps!
