Have you ever been in a hammock?

When I was a child, we used to have an old string hammock. The sort that you hang from 2 big trees. It was great. I used to line it with cushions, and lie in it in the summertime, sometimes reading, sometimes sleeping. When I remember it, it is something like a wonderful dream - lying in dappled sunlight. Unfortunately, one string snapped after another, probably due to me inviting my friends into it! Have you ever been in a hammock?

When I was in Fiji I saw a hammock where I was staying and I thought I would try it out. It was tied up between two palm tree trunks. It was challenging to get into the hammock because it kept swinging about. Once I was laying in the hammock it felt quite relaxing. It must have been upsetting when one of the strings snapped. Laying in warm sunshine sounds excellent to me.

I live in Mexico and more people here sleep in hammocks then they sleep in beds. Think of it . A hammock cost about 30 dollars , you can take it with you whereever you go . When you are not sleeping in it , you just knot it and leave in hang on the hook , out of the way . Another thing they are perfect for babies , they cradle a baby so the baby can't fall out . When I wake up after sleeping in a bed, my back aches and I get up real slow . After sleeping in the hammock I wake up feeling great , no aches or pains .

I have been in a hammock and few times, and I liked it. I want to get myself one, but all the ones I have found have been expensive. I want to get one and put it in the shade behind my house. It would be good to be able to get in it and take a nap on a cool evening...

Yes, hammocks are so comfortable. Best way to nap on a lazy summer day.
