I heard on the radio, at the situation of economic downturn, while many stores need to sale more of its inventory, people taking the advantage of negotiating prices on the certain department stores and retailing stores. I heard once, HHGregg allows customers to negotiate the price on certain electronic appliances, and they are willing to give you a discounted prices. But in Macy's, they hang a sign of no - price - negotiation.
Have you ever negotiate prices with the stores in the recession?

Ive had done that but not often. I did it once on a tv in Walmart that was a shelf model , no box, and they could not find a price for it so I made them an offer. Normally I am not one to really do so. My hubby has also bought several of one thing on clearance in Walmart and asked for a discount since he was buying so many of them , and they reduced the price. He bought like 50 of them so it was worth it to them to get it off the shelf.
