Moving soon...........Again!

As some of you know, and for those that don't lol. I recently moved to my daughter's, Pa to Va, on Feb. 16th. I had planned on this not being a long-term move, however, I was figuring I would be here for about a year. Well that has now changed, looks like I'll be making another move around July 1st, back to my home state of Texas! For those of you who knew the circumstances behind the move in Feb., I have moved on, life is fantastic, and I even got in touch, well he got in touch with me, an old friend. And we figured out that after all these years it's more than friendship. So, he will be moving to Texas, shortly after I get there! I have moved a lot in my life but never this close together, 5 months apart. What was the shortest time between moves for you?

well, I moved out of my parent's house into an apartment in Denton, then 10 months later to an aparment in Austin - and that's the closest I've ever moved.

Might not be too far from ya! One of my top choices is Bastrop lol. It will all depend on what I hear back from the Forestry, as to what region I'll be moving too. So who knows might be 'neighbors' so to speak.

Good luck with the move. I think the closest time for me was 1 year. I cannot imagine moving anymore than that and it was only to another apartment.

Thanks. It was the same for me, about a year, til now. I will be back in Texas by July 7th if not sooner. And then, I'll have one more move after I get there. Since I'm not sure just yet where my job will land me, it could be in any part of the state. I'll stay with family until I can have time to find a place and get moved in, then.......I'm not moving for a long time! lol 3 moves in one year is plenty for me lol

I lived with my mom's ex-fiance when she kicked me out of her house for a month before moving 300 miles away to my grandparents house. So for me, shortest period of time - one month. And good luck in Texas with your "old friend".

Hey palonghorn! Wow~ That sounds awesome! You are moving to Texas and you have got a friend already! That sounds just wonderful! I hope that things finally work out for you because you sure deserve it! I guess this "old" friend must be very special! You know there are alot of mylotters that live in Texas! I know three of them that are women that are wonderful people who I would love to meet! And now that you are moving there too, maybe I should pack my stuff and move out there so I could be with all of you! I don't know Texas so I can't tell you where they all are, but they live not far from each other! When you get there, I'll find out more info and maybe you can get to know them too! They are really special friends of mine! And I just might take myself out there and not come back here either!

I can fully understand where you are coming from here. Moving around a lot is something that I have dealt with for some time during my life. As a matter of fact the last move my family and I made was approximately one year ago. I used to live in Pennsylvania myself. And now we live in Birmingham, Alabama. Big move, I know! Now we have been settled here for a little while but there is still a prospect of yet another move to maybe a better place with better living conditions and arrangements. Financial hardship has not been a stranger to us in the last so many years of our lives. We have moved around so much that I would venture to say that there might have on a couple of occasions been only within maybe two weeks to a month span in between moves. I sure wish you much luck.
