Boy we did, We live in Tennessee, and it was sure a cold long winter, we had to use the fireplace for more heat, our house just wasn't staying warm enough with our baseboard heaters. Plus a very high electric bill. Keeping the fireplace going all night is a pain. But whenever one of wake up in the night, you just have to go in there and put a couple of logs on. It sure saves on the electric bill, and the house stays a lot warmer. Did you use yours to save money?

We used to live up north (ND) and had 2 fireplaces but never used them. Actually hubby lit one once but it was so messy and hard to clean. So would just use the heater! We are now in Texas so we don't need one. It's been warm all winter...I can't believe the weather here! We have a fireplace here which is weird because there's really no need for it. I hope it warms up where you are. I've never been to Tennessee but if's as cold as North Dakota (it's gotten down to -29 over there when we were there), the I feel for you. Keep warm and drink lots of hot cocoa!

Thank you, I think most of the reason that we were so cold, is this was our first winter here in TN. We moved here from Florida, We lived in Florida most of our lives. We do have some cold days in Florida, but they didn't last. Here they do.

Florida is my dream place to live. I hear the weather is perfect there! We lived in Georgia for a year and I loved it! We were an hour or so from Florida.

You would Love Florida, I sure do. My husband is the one that always wanted to move to Tennessee, it was his dream. So, we sold our home in Florida and moved. Tennessee is very beautiful. But it's not Florida. What would be really great is to live in TN through Spring, Summer & fall. And go back home in the winter. Maybe some day. Take Care.

In the country where I come from, there is no fireplace. Simply because our weather here is often warm. We do not have any winter here. Just dry season and wet season. As of now, its dry season, though most people term it as summer considering that it is very hot. I wish I could dip myself in the pool whole day. So as you can see, no need for a fireplace. I wish you best and hope that you stay warm.

Thank You, My husband could not handle the summer heat in Florida, where we are from. But, he isn't to fond of the cold here in TN either. Take care, and I hope it will cool off just a little bit for you.

We used ours last year. It is a big saver but this year we had a hard time finding wood. So we had to rely mainly on the heater and its nothing like a warm fire.
