I have been outside on and off all day today as it is in the mid 50's and sunny. I cleared away almost all the mulch around my flowers out front and alongside the house. My back and legs are killing me now. Hahahaha! This photo here shows a small sampling of the amount of Lilies I have out front. In this photo is almost 20 and I seen about 75 to 80 at least today. The mulch I used for winter protection is wood chips with shredded leaves, whole leaves and cut grass. My garbage can is filled as is my compost bin so I took a break. Do you work till you're sore on your gradens in the spring? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Unfortunately, I can't work too long in the garden as I have a problematic knee and that in turn, sets my back off. Fortunately though, the garden isn't too big, so it doesn't need a lot of work. I hardly have to do anything to the top one, as the heathers seem to care for themselves. Your lilies are lovely, my friend and I daresay there will be some more! Brightest Blessings.

That's how I would be Grandpa Bob... in and out like a fiddler's elbow, and spending more time on my lounger than anywhere else. lol.

Thank you for BR my friend. I sat out in the garden today and at the moment, it's very pleasant. We had a very still, warm day which got sunnier as it went on, and it was good to sit out and admire the results of work done.

I have a bad back, a bad leg, and bronchial-asthma, but I do the work in spurts. I work for 30 minutes or so until I am in pain or having a hard time breathing. I rest a bit then go back out. So 4 hours in the garden may take me all day to get done. Hahaha! HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Nope, I am a wimp. I give up at the first sign of fatigue. You really have been busy today. Love the Lilies.

The Lilies bloom around the end of June and or early July usually. Some earlier but it all depends on the weather actually. The more mopisture and sunshine the earlier they'll bloom. I've got some very awesome colors too especially the bright yellow and bright orange ones. Thanks also friend. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

I wish I had a garden to work in but I really doubt I would work until I was sore. hahaha After all the work you do in the winter with clearing snow I am surprised you get sore but then again I guess you are using entirely different muscles.

You should see my wife and I on weekends in the garden. It is almost non-stop some times. But well worth it in the long run as the fruits and veggies are soooo tasty. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Oh I agree, there is nothing better than home grown vegetables and fruits. Delicious. When I was little and would go visit my cousin who lived in the country I did not appreciate the good home grown veggies out of my aunt and uncle's garden but boy do I miss those days now.
