Okay this site has gotten to me today really badly. I have gotten tired or reading and typing for a few hours today on myLot. The reason why is because today was an exceptionally rare day for me. I think I started about a dozen (12) discussions. That is odd for me as I usually do 5 a day when I post. I got "BURIED" in my own typing it seems. (check out the attached photo) ROFLMAO! So I am done doing discussions for the day and plan on responding to the ones I started. How many good quality discussions in one day have you done at the most? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

I have started one this month (but you didn't see it though ) I have never started many in the whole time I've been here but, thankfully, many keep coming back to life.

I'd say six or seven is the most that I have started in one day. If enough people partake in the discussions, then I can easily get swamped with the work load. I try to reply to as many members who respond as I can, and my time on myLot is usually limited. Sometimes it can take me many days to catch up. If you have done twelve, then you have certainly been puling your own weight around here. Some quality discussions don't get as much activity because they fail to catch the eye of enough members. More generalized titles seem to be an effective tactic when trying to engage more members. Make sure to ice down your wrists tonight after you are done with all that typing. Cheers.

As you can tell, I do a catchy title and the first sentence or two are sort of misleading, yet stay with the theme of the discussion. Some get tons of responses because of those actions and words I use often. I get swamped to the point I can't even begin to add comments to all respopnses. I try to but sometimes you can't do each one really. I am my fathers caregiver and home all day so I am on and off the internet all day and night so I've lot's of time here actually. I have seen many of your posts on my rounds and you do employ some successful methods. It isn't always easy to tell ahead of time what topics will grab the attention of other members. Sometimes you just have to try and roll with it. I too jump on and off of myLot during the course of the day. Doing what you can is all anyone should expect anyway. Caring for your father is a commendable act. I'll see you around.

I think there was one day where I did three pretty good quality discussions. I was happy with them, and they got a lot of responses. If I don't really feel good about my dicsussions, I don't post them. Sometimes I just don't think my ideas for discussions have any real merit. And I thank you Grandpa Bob for starting these dicsussions of yours. You bring a little bit of joy to this site that otherwise would not be here.

hahahaha Me? Start good quality discussion? Good one Grandpa Bob, you make me laugh. Ok, so I didn't want this to be a one liner so I had to say something. I am not good at starting discussions but when it is of interest to me I do like to respond to them.

Hey Grandpa Bob: I do good to come up with one discussion once in awhile, I would never be able to come up with 5 of them per day or more; I looked at that snow photo, OMG!!!!! Is all that snow from this year??? That was some shot I must say;

For me ....just one and it is not always that great. I don't come up with things to start discussions on easily like some of you guys do. Also, Grampa bob...look out your window. It is a full moon which might explain your change in routine!

I think the most discussions I have done in one day is about 5. For the most part I respond to discussions, but I do like starting them too. I just always run out of interesting things to start a topic on. I think it's great that you were able to come up with a dozen things to start discussions about. Keep up the good work. Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

I honestly tend to read alot more discussions than i actually take the time to respond to. I dunno if its lack of response in my head or lack of patience for the add a comment or respond page to load on dialup. I like going to my moms to borrow her internet cuz she has highspeed - there wasnt a darn hill between her and the wireless tower!

I have that problem too where I don't know what to write about so I just go and answer my friends discussions or any other ones I find really interesting. I wish I was the opposite like Grandpa Bob and could write tons of discussions that a lot of people really enjoy!

You are doing great GrandpaBob, I am averaging about 1 a week. I have lost that MyLot touch. I am not good at the tasks either. I missed the payout last month and I am working hard and trying to do some of the tasks to make it this month. I am happy to see you did get the work done on the snow that was blocking your driveway good work.

I lost interest in this site as well for about 2 months time. It got too bad with all the one liners etc. I even started two just to test them out. They are both still up. I did not nor will add comments though to those two. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

hi, gramps, i have unfortuanatly only posted 2 good quality discussions out of 13, but I am still going on for more, this might give the wrong image of me, but I still think I can do better with my posting, anyways don't go nuclear! I think that you posted so many discussions onmylott, because you thought they were interesting and that's a good thing, if you would have waited untill tomorrow you might have forgotten them, so why should you wait??? Happy-mylotting

Interesting (but accurate) analogy. . I start too many discussions when I get "inspired" and then forget (or don't have time to) respond to any others because I'm so busy trying to rate each of the responders or make comments to their responses and such. It's hard to keep up with more than just a couple at any given time. At most, I think I've started probably 15 in one day - but didn't necessarily get around to all that I wanted to because of it. . Oops.

Personally for me it varies. I actually go thru spurts here myself. It often tends to depend on the mood that I am in, and the time I can spend in here for sure. But there is Good and Bad to spending time posting in New discussions and responding back to the ones others have started as well.

Honestly Grandpa Bob for some reason it is REALLY hard for me to start discussions. In order for me to start one I really have to have some HUGE news or something major had to have happened. I think the most I have done in one day is about 2 or 3 and that would have been a while back when I first started MyLotting. Now I only do a discussion or two every month or two! I always look forward to your discussions though Grandpa Bob!

I hardly ever start any discussions, I can't imagine doing 12. How do you find the time to be on here that long and take care of your garden too, not to mention all the other stuff you do?

When I first started several years ago, I started discusssions on a regular basis, but now I do good to respond to discussions. Yep, I have noticed your catchy titles to draw us in, LOL. Hey, do whatever you have to that works~

I think the most discussions that I have ever started in one day is three, and that was a bit more than I could handle!! I tend to try to stick to one or two now if I am going to start any.
