Would you go again, or would you like to go on a cruise?... If so what cruise line did you go on and did you like it?? have you tried several cruise lines...if so what one was better?
I went on a cruise back in 2001 and it was wonderful...5 days, 4 nights...Carnival cruise line--it was such a great experience and the crew was wonderful --I would so recommend them!!!! .... we had a group of 23 of us and it was one of the greatest vacations we had... but we havent been on vacation since because of money or the timing hasnt been good.... and we would love to get away.
We have been talking about a family vacation now with the 4 of us...so that will be different for us... LOL
the last time we went on vacation it was still just hubby and me.
so have you been on a cruise....when, where did you go, what cruise line did you use??.... or have you looked into taking a cruise?

No, but I would like to try at least once. I think I can't suffer the seasickness, and except my hubby and my dad, my family also can't suffer it.
I have planned to go on a cruise for so long, as I need to schedule it and make sure those who can go on a cruse have time to go with us.
I have decided to take pills to overcome my seasickness problem, it is just a question of when we can have time to get away.

instead of the pills, just a suggestion--ask your local pharmacist for a dramamine bracelet...its like a rubber band that goes on your wrist and you dont feel seasickness.... my mother took the pills and they made her groggy the whole time. She didnt feel seasick but she was just tired alot because of it.
I know alot of people that have gone and several have suggested the bracelet....if it is available in your area. (through pharmacies)
we had a group... chose a date a year in advanced and saved like 20.00 a week for it for that year ... that helped us alot... just a suggestion!!
thanks for the response.

Thanks for your suggestion.
I never heard of this, but I asked my hubby if he heard it, he told me he knew it and he will buy me one if we decided to go on a cruise later....
Have a nice day~

we went on a 10 day cruise for our honeymoon. It was not a party line but a 5 star Italian luxery cruise which we took to Bermuda. It was very very enjoyable. I would like to do so again - this time with our children. That would be fantastic, though I do not see it happening anytime soon.

I have not been on a cruise before and would like to if there's opportunity and when budget allows. Right now going for a holiday is out of the question. But one day when our budget allows, I would like to go on a cruise...I have seen photos of the interior of a cruise....one thing for sure is the food is like 24 hours on going....ehehhe!!!

I know what you mean, we could not afford one right now either... but I would love to go on one again. I hope to anyway go on a few more in the future.
If you plan ahead you can save like 20.00 a week for a year...after that your cruise would be paid for and spending money too... thats what we did...saved for a year before.
thanks for the response.

Oooh Ooohh I would love to do that. But isn't expensive. Actually I want that for my parents when they get older as treat for them... before myself. That would be a nice gift right.
But of course I still have to save or it.

they really do have great rates at certain times of the year and last minute deals too...but yes, I would save up for one...and I would save up again for the next one if we get the chance to go again... it was awesome.
I highly recommend them....and for the leary ones I recommend the 3 or 4 day cruises to see if they want to do more.... those that do seem to always want more...and the ones I have talked to that had 7 day cruises ....still want more...
thanks for the response.

for the lazy??
what group of people did you go with??
...we had a group of 23 and we had a group party just for us since our group was so large.... we went swimming with the stingray, shopping in Cozumel, had a margarita in Carlos N Charlies.... swimming on the ship... traveling to all the clubs.... and we slept like a baby being rocked by the soft waves at night!! LOL
although I guess at some points we could have taken it easier!!
thank for the response.

No, I have never been on a cruise. But I have always wanted to. I love being on or near the water. As I am a water sign, Cancer. I would love to hear everyones favorite place to go on a cruise.

No, I have never been on a cruise. It is a dream that I have had for a long time and I really would like to go but it hasn't happened yet. Maybe as soon as my kids get out on their own, I will be able to take my husband and go.
I have heard that Carnival is one of the best ones!

I can suffer from sea sickness if the waves are rough. I am an independently minded sort of traveler so it would be frustrating for me to get to a lovely destination at 8 the morning and then have to be back on the cruise ship at 5 in the evening. I would like facilities like a swimming pool on board I wouldn't enjoy dinning on the ship I am sure. I have looked at some cruise line brochures and the prices for a single person are very expensive. Some cruise liners charge much for a toddler or a baby and some don't accept those under 2 at all. I really would love to visit places in the Caribbean and Central America like Cartagena de Indies, San Andres Island, Providence Island, San Blas Islands and the Panama Canal. I think of a cruise around the Galapagos Islands if I ever have enough money. I am so glad that you really enjoyed your cruise. In 2001 I went to New Zealand and the South Pacific Islands by air.

yes, that was the only downfall...being in port by 8 am and being back on ship by a certain time.... it worked out well for us, but to have been able to see certain things at sunset would have been cool too.
the food however was THE BEST food we have ever had anywhere and we have traveled a bit before we were married....
I have never done an all-inclusive and that is my next thing I would like to try...where you stay at the hotel and everything is included...now that would be cool too!
thanks for the response.

I am sure you will get to go.... just keep saving and checking for great deals... it was so worth it!!! you will love it. We saved up for a year--like 20.00 a week in an envelope I think is what we did... and had the cruise paid off and we had money for the cruise too... this way we didnt have to pay for any bills afterwards when we got home...it was all done on cash!! alot of our group did it on credit cards and had to pay for it after....try not to do that!! this was way more fun!!
thanks for the response.

I LOVE traveling, but I have never been on a cruise. I worry that I could possibly get sea sick on the boat. I once went on a day trip, casino cruise and I felt the boat moving the entire time - it was awful! I worry that I would go on this cruise for a week and be miserable. I also worry about the size of the rooms. I like my space, and a really small "hotel room" on the cruise ship would really bother me. I don't really think cruises are for me! lol A lot of people love them though and have a really great time!

I was concerned about that too...there were some rough days at sea but it was really cool... and our ship had like 2100 people on it and yet you never felt crowded ever.... it was really cool. I think if you ever get a chance to just tour a cruise ship...check it out and check the rooms you might be surprised....LOL
thanks for the response.
