i do get your point. don't you know children have a hard time figring out all the things they hear. bless their hearts. see it confuses us imagine how they feel. evryone makes mistakes as long as they live. we all just have to the best we can & then teach our children the best we can.little kids really think deeper than alot of grownups give them credit for.

i got the point from the chocholate cake example lmao..from that point of view, we're not evil if we put the garlic in the cake, we're just did it wrong way lmao..
but there are some case that we called wrong = evil..
1. killing innocent people for example. it's wrong and also evil, coz people lifes are priceless and who are we have the right to take other's life ?
2. stealing just to play a jackpot games..
3. abusing and neglect our childs just because our selfishness and our childish side, maybe coz we're not ready to have them etc-etc..
i can't judge though, that was just my opinions..not all our mistakes make us evil, but also not all of our goodness make us angel..

Hello my friend riyasam Ji,
So nice of you for starting this type, "It is wring to put garlic in choclate", but I
find similarity in Natural way, how do poisnous snakes whirl around 'sandle-wood' tree
where both are daggers drawn in their characters. Your daughter might be right. Just
think it over. But why, at all you have to shout. Children do mistakes and it is
parents duty to correct without loosing temper.
May god bless you and have a great time.

Hahaha, don't worry, i don't think they're related at all...And your daughter was just being a cute 6 year old kid...haha The kids would always go and do or ask stuff like this you know..Evil is when you cause someone or something harm, destruction or misfortune whereas wrong is based on errors, mistakes done...I guess your daughter will eventually learn the difference...dont worry alright, take care..

I do not think so, but for children it is a little hard to understand. I think that good and evil is the instinct of the person, their nature, so if a person even though he does not, sometimes thinks of harming someone he has evil thoughts. Right and wrong is showing what the person does. So if you think evil, and you ahead and do it, you do wrong. However wrong could mean that you do something that you are not good at, so if you are making a cake, and put too much salt in it, and you forgot to grease the pan you are making it wrong.
But that does not mean you are evil. It is classed as a mistake and children think the louder you yell, the mistake grows from being a mistake to evil. So maybe do not yell the next time.

Hi! Riya!
I do not think that the word 'evil' should be replaced with the word 'bad' as synonym of the word 'good. The word 'evil, when used could mean something morally bad or wrong, some wicked thought, harmful, misfortune, infamous or bad temper.
However, the word 'good' means: something positive or desirable in nature, not bad or poor, some desirable qualities or something suitable to us or something not spoiled or ruined or something in sound condition.
You can tell the difference of various words and its synonyms to your sweet little daughter and you can also tell her that in English every word has it different meaning and its usage also differs.

right and wrong are not synonymous with good and evil. right and wrong depend on the circumstances, evil and good are more broad and easily recognizable. its not evil to put garlic in a cake, it may be wrong, but not Evil.
evil is defined as: morally objectionable behavior
wrong is defined as: incorrect: not correct; not in conformity with fact or truth

Maybe you could look at it as she did an evil thing but she is not evil. Or you can do good things but it doesn't necesarily mean you are a good person. To me evil is an act of heartlessness. If you could push a puppy in the road just to get ran over...you don't have a heart and I would consider you evil. If you pushed your little brother down just because that was thoughtless and an evil act. I guess there are different measures of evil. But bottom line evil is a thoughtless or heartless act. When you don't think of who you will be hurting.
You may choose to do the right thing which would be a good job. Maybe this way....right and wrong are actions good and evil are adjectives. you do good and bad but what you do is described as good and evil....I don't know....I see a difference in them, but I don't think I am doing such a good job of describing it
Good luck with figuring it out! Hope some of what I said helps a little.

See, somethings though small like cheating in an exam or small theft of say a choclate is not evil but you will agree that it is morally not correct, it is wrong. So I would say that all wrong is not evil, but all evil is wrong. Similarly all right might not be good. When a child makes a mistake, we need to punish the kid. You might make him stand for an hour or deprive the kid from his favourite TV show, it is the punishment given to him. It is right, but might mot turn out to be good. It is very case specific. A boundary line does exists but its is quite thin and most of us forget to see and analyse it.
