i'm freaked out by earthquakes. i remember the 90's quake that prompted the mt. pinatubo eruption here. aftershocks followed and i remember rushing from the third floor of my college's building faster than anyone. actually, i was the only one. turns out that it was only the student sitting behind rocking his feet against my chair. still, i'm freaked out by it knowing what happens underneath us when earthquakes occur. so much so when i know that the ground may open up and houses and buildings may collapse. i remember when my child was a few months old only. it was the middle of the night and i scooped him up at once ready to run out of the house even though they say not to do this. i'm not going to wait for what would happen inside the house with my child.

I have been in a disaster as huge an eruption of volcanoes and even mega typhoons. There are typhoons coming to our region but all we got is up to signal number 1 thanks God. And I have experienced earthquakes but only a small tremor. So I just can't imagine the horror and the trauma the victims experience and feel. I guess I'm afraid of all disasters natural or man made.

Well, I am afraid of all types of disasters most especially earthquake.. yay! i live in a high rise condominium and i've already experienced what it's like to stay inside my flat while the whole building is shaking.. yay! it was terrible.. i felt dizzy right after the quake.. and as we all know, it's always followed by an after shock.. yay! so double the fear/terror! my hubby and i stayed in the middle of the door(which is believed to be a safe zone) while an earthquake is happening/occuring.. we didn't panic as it will only lead to trouble..

I'm afraid of the whole lot. Tornadoes, volcanos, hurricanes, earthquakes, floods, typhons - anything and everything, I am afraid of. Luckily, the only things I'm actually at RISK for where I live (the United States' midwest - Minnesota) is the occasional tornado and flash flood. It must be scary to have to deal with earthquakes. I couldn't imagine it!
