Inner ear problem? Or Flu like symptoms?

I have this WONDERFUL annoyance happening to me right now. What is it you ask? WELL! It all started when I decided to come off of my anti depression medication, Effexor, and COMPLETELY forgot about the wonderful side effects that happen when you come off it, that would most likely happen for up to 6 weeks, which SUCKS! So what is happening to me? Something that is a mix between vertigo, inner ear problem, and flu like symptoms. AND AGAIN IT SUCKS! SO, my question to you all, any tips of how I can alleviate this bothersome symptom? Any other medication I can take, but don't have to be on it long term? Or try to ween myself off of at a later date? I just don't want a repeat of this happening EVER again.

May be you should come off this medication a bit slower cut your dose down.That is what I am doing,go to your doctors and make sure you don't actually have an ear infection first.Take care love.suzzyxx

Yeah, that's what I'm ending up doing right now. I'm just still waiting to receive empty pill capsules so I can extend it longer than my regular 90 day prescription. Thanks for responding and happy myLotting.

My doctor put me on Novo-Betahistine 24mg one tab. twice a day, but I have found that the stuff I get from the heath store works way better. I use Manganese one a day at bedtime and dissolve Vertigoheel tab under your tongue 1 to 3 times a day. Hope this helps. Take care. http://www.backgroundfacts.com/menieres/Vertigoheel.htm
