there is a battle on whether or not this guy will get to test the dna off of the pillowcase he bled into before he died.. the guy wants to find out if he had a type of cancer or not due to several clues in his appearance.. supposively he says that if it was a certain kind of cancer he would have been dead in a year or two anyways..
i really dont see why its something we need to know.. i mean it would be kind of depressing to find out that even if he hadnt been assassinated he would have died soon! would it really change anything?? would it make the tragedy seem ok then? would it make him a better/worse president? do you think he would want it out that he was sick??
i mean i love a medical mystery like the next person but its not as if he was the elephant man (forgot his real name sorry) to where it was something we can learn from to figure out how to help future people.. its something that would just let us know he was doomed anyways
eh maybe i just am not understanding it.. what are your opinions and theories on it? should we know? would it change anything?

Looks like someone here watches Jerry Springer.
Yeah, I turn it on every now and then for some giggles. I admit it.

I am sorry to respond to this discussion after such a long time. Actually, i had been searching for discussions about this great man and I came across this one!
yes, there are people who like to prove things which aren't going to be useful to anyone. I mean, what is point of determining whether a person had cancer or not! Why not focus upon his personality? his good traits! What did he do for the nation and for the human community, for which he is praised by everyone? How was his personal life? His skills in handling people etc... These are the most important things that can be learned and it can teach one a lot about life. Wonder, what one is going to learn from the fact that he had cancer or not!!!!

exactly it would be much more beneficial to learn about him as a person not if he had this or that.. i wonder how much money was wasted on something that no matter what changes NOTHING!

Yeah, that is the wonder of it... They spend millions to discover things, which have no practical value and no benefit to the community! I am sure one tenth of that amount would have been sufficient to publish books about this great personality and help people get better...
Whether he had cancer or not, isn't going to change the matters or issues today...

Since my husband and I are sort of 'connected' by Abraham Lincoln (my husband's birthday is the same as Lincoln's and my birthday is the anniversary of the day he was shot) I say, leave him alone!!!
I agree with you, there's nothing we can benefit by knowing whether or not Lincoln had cancer! Personally, I think it's a waste of time and money. Even if he could prove that Lincoln had a brain tumor that most likely would have affected the things he did or said, what different will it make now? What's done is done!
Leave the guy alone, why don't ya?!?!
