Have you heard about this? I was reading a news article and it said that pharmacuticals are in drinking water. I saw it on Yahoo news if you want to read up on it. I dont know if it effects small towns are only the large cities. Well I guess I will be sticking with my bottled water.

This is something I have heard of at one time..a bit similar to what you are saying, it was that the government are putting chlorine in our drinking water for what reason I have forgotten..but it wouldn't surprise me if they are trying to brainwash us into submission to their laws! lol littleowl

i dont drink tap water from where i live. we have alot and i mean alot of cancer in our area. i am not saying it is from our water but it is coming from some where.we live in a farming community and i would think any things possible. i do drink only bottle water. at least some one in the plant has to know where this water is coming from and will speak up some how.as far as things in tap water . why sure i will believe any thing .take a look at our world and all of our waste . this stuff is going some where and i am sure there is alot more in the water that we do not know about.it is really scary out there.

There is a film called Erin Brockovich (am not sure how you spell the sirname), it is a true story and about how the water in a plant near a town that was making everyone ill, with all sorts of illnesses it took a long time to prove it but Erin did, so being honest it would not surprise me if tap water is the problem for a lot of this..if you get a chance watch the DVD Julia roberts plays Erin, but it is a real eye opener...littleowl

bottle water will probably have pharmaceuticals into it too, I would suspect even more than drinking water which is usually filtered through the city plant or what have you. But it does not surprise me in the least.

I had read about that some time ago. It is people dumping there left over medications down the toilet. It is also coming from the fact that when people take medication it isn't all absorbed into the body and some is eliminated from the body with going to the bath room. I would say that any where that water is treated and reused will be affected.

Things like that get into the water line because of people not properly disposing of their unused medication. People flushing it down the toilet is part of what causes it.

Everything ends up in our water. People do not care what they dump or where they dump. It is not just the trash people or the big companies, it is the everyday Joe. You see regular people dumping all kinds of junk into the water and on the ground, everywhere. They do not care where it ends up when it rains and gets washed away somewhere. Everyone blames the big companies and the water companies for not purifieying it enough, but everyone is to blame. Shalom~Adoniah

There's all sorts of junk in tap water but it's not going to hurt you. Even your bottled water isn't completely safe. You'll never be drinking straight h2o no matter what you buy. But if you have an internet connection, chances are your water is cleaner than most places in the world. You have no need to fear getting sick from drinking tap water.

Nothing surprises me any more. That is why you need to put a filter on your sink. I have heard bad things about bottle water too. The plastic bottle that the water is stored for us to drink is bad for us as well. But sometimes I don't know what to believe in any more for a few years back they even said peanut butter was bad for you.
