Up until recently I used to make it a habit to turn off my cell phone before I went to sleep. However, I have a terrible time remembering to turn it back on the following day. After my husband scolded me several times about not being able to reach me I leave it on 24/7 now. It's good to leave it on for others to get through, especially in case of an emergency.

Yes I know how frustrating it can get if you cannot reach to your loved one in case of an emergency, or even if you have a great news to share , you want to reach to your loved one and then you cannot and this stupid recorded message says that the number is unavailable. We have to be always there for them 24/7.
Thank you so much for sharing your view on it.

My cellphone is on 24/7. I am the type of person who don't like to turn off my cellphone even if its time for me to sleep. Even in occasions where cellphones are prohibited, I just turn it to silent mode. When I am also doing the battery charging, it is on. I don't like to turn off my cellphone because I want to be available all the time for the people I care especially when there are emergencies.

Nope, I don't switch off my cell phone at night or anytime when I am going to sleep. I just put it on silent mode. My cellphone is on 24/7 but the sound is not on 24/7.

At times the ringing of the phone makes me insane, and I get so tired of it attending calls during the day. I prefer to switch it off at night, if I am not that tired to do this simple task.
Thanks for sharing.

I wish that I could keep it off at night but my main job is that of a Property Manager of some very upmarket beach front apartments. I have to keep my cell phone on 24/7 to meet their demands of me. for example, they may want me for some reason or another or want me to drive to work as they have left or lost their keys. and of course for security reasons. I will phone the security in the night to make sure that they are on the job and not sleeping. and trust me, they DO call me for all sorts of stupid reasons. and then they will say "I hope that I did not wake you" And it is 2 am . I wishg sometimes that I could reply, "Of course you woke me"!

Hi friend, Sorry for responding late. I was out of town for the last 2 days. Yup I know there are people at times calling at wierd hours and they pretend to be polite. ???. This friend of mine called me up one night at 2 and told me he needed a pain killer. All his family members were sleeping but he chose to call me, reason they need some sleep.
" Excuse me". LOL
