Okay I give up...abuot the Sorties

I am trying to edit my profile and I pastet he HTML in the sortie box thing and click on save changes. ANd then I hit view profile...and it looks the same as before. What am I doing wrong?
I wold like to place banners on my profile like others have. Any suggestions?
