Lightworkers

Lightworkers are people who have an almost unearthly gift for understanding, accepting, listening to, loving, and being there for others. Many have the gift of empathy, and of mentally being able to relieve the pain of others; but many also find that they often cannot save their own personal situations. Do you believe that lightworkers exist? Have you met someone with these gifts ? How did you react? Were you frightened or receptive?

I have never heard them called lightworkers but yes there have been many people in my life like this and I have been told I am also. So I am receptive to them. I do admit that I need them in my life because I cannot as you say "save [my] own personal situations". That is what my best firend and I do for each other. The relieving of pain wheather physical or mental works to varying degrees and much depends on each individual person some souls can only do one or the other some both and it also varies depending on the person that is set in our path to help.

I see these traits very strongly in my daughter. I think some of it comes from me as I have always been a deep thinker, very empathetic, very selfless, always helping others and messing up in my own situation. At first I liked these qualities in me but as time went on I saw how I was hurting myself and I did not know how to stop. I now believe a lot of my physical problems are the direct result of the things I have allowed in my life that did not serve me well. My daughter is only 7 and I have seen these traits in her since she was 2. She is much more intense and intuitive than I was so I really worry for her. She gets her feelings hurt so easy and it occured to me the other day that she really does not relax because she is always finding something to worry about or fix. Yes I do believe these traits exist and they are in fact hard to live with in this life.
