Hi all, Based on my experience, field control and ball placement more important than a hard smash. How do you think?

it is important to foresee where the opponent's ball would be and it more important to not let ur opponent know where u are aiming ur ball. footwork counts a lot too. i know this is my problem. i started playing badminton two years ago and i was already 50 by then... and i didn't have to go to a badminton clinic and no formal coaching. all i wanted to do was to sweat it out but it came out that i fell in love with the game, so i am playing up to the present.

Positioning and being able to anticipate your opponents next shot are important. Ball placement is not important as you use a shuttlecock in badminton not a ball.
